Discord isn't so much of a place to go "make friends". It's place where you connect to specific servers that related to specific interests (might be a specific video game, might be a clan, might be an anime). They're not really set up for general purpose socializing - people don't spend enough time on any one server to start making friends - they'll ask a question, shitpost some memes & then go back to playing the game.
It's a bad medium for making friends. Time to head back to the drawing board & come up with another plan. I suggest finding a reason to leave the house because most social media apps are pretty shit ways to make new friends these days - everything is too big, too anonymous & too geographically spread out. It's really hard to make & keep any sort of friendship alive unless you're able to actually meet them sometimes.
